Servings: 8 people
- 1 lb. mild cheddar cheese (4 cups)
- 1 lb. ground sausage, precooked in small pieces OR bacon, ham
- 6 slices white bread, decrusted and cubed
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard, ground
- pepper to taste
Mix together eggs and milk with dry seasonings.
Add in cheese, sausage, and bread cubes. Fold in until completely combined.
Place in a greased 9x13 baking dish; cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350° for 45 minutes before serving.
